Restaurant Booking Terms and Conditions
The terms of booking, cancellation policy and other information below apply to all restaurant table bookings at The Greyhound Hotel & Restaurant, irrespective of how or when a booking is made. When you make a booking you enter into a contract to fulfil the following expectations.
How to secure your reservation
Reservations can be made online through our website or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling +44 (0)1629 823172.
The Greyhound Hotel & Restaurant requires all guests to provide details of a credit/debit card to secure a reservation. In certain busy trading periods we may ask for a secured deposit per person to be lodged against your reservation for example Bank Holidays and Christmas/New Year. This may be paid by cash or credit card.
Any deposit paid will be used as tender against your Restaurant bill.
We abide by PCI rules in respect of credit card details secured from bookings.
When to arrive
The time you book your table for is when you will be seated.
Should you wish to enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif in our bar, please be sure to arrive 30 to 45 minutes prior to the time your table is booked.
If you are late please call us on +44 (0)1629 823172 if you are not going to arrive before the time your table is booked.
Should you not arrive within 15 minutes after your booking time, the table will be released (without compensation) and will be subject to our cancellation charge.
We cannot guarantee that your table will still be available, however we will endeavour, if at all
If a later slot is not available you will lose your reservation and may subject to our cancellation charge.
How to cancel a reservation
Cancellations requests will need to be made in writing by emailing email@example.com, with advance notification of at least 48 hours.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before your booking may be subject to our cancellation charge.
In the event that the booking is not honoured in whole or in part by you, or is cancelled by you with less than 48 hours notice it will be at the discretion of The Greyhound Hotel & Restaurant to charge £25 per person to your card.
If we cancel your booking
Under unusual circumstances there may be a reason or circumstance for the Greyhound Hotel to cancel your booking, we reserve the right to make this cancellation at short notice, we will notify you from your contact details and refund any deposits paid.
Our menu can change
Dishes specified on the sample menus on our website may not be available on the day of your visit.
Allergies and dietary requirements
When making your booking, it is your responsibility to inform us of any allergy or dietary requirements you or your guests may have, as we are always willing to accommodate all requests.
If, for some reason, we have not been informed prior to your meal, we will endeavour to meet your requirements but this is subject to availability.
We have a strictly no smoking policy (including e-cigarettes) throughout the Hotel.
The Dog policy in our Public Areas & House rules
We welcome dogs to accompany our guests, however we have allocated areas for dogs so please ask when you bring them or make a booking so that we do not get a concentration of dogs in an area.
Dogs are not allowed to sit or lie on the furniture only on the floor area, this is for respect of other future guests.
We discourage the feeding of dogs in the public areas.
Noisy barking dogs will be asked to leave the public areas both inside and outside, for the peace and enjoyment of all guests.
If you bring multiple dogs you may be asked to sit in the outside areas during busy times.
Please be aware of the health and safety of our team in serving food to the tables.
All dogs must be controlled at all times by the owners and respect fellow guests.
For parties of 6 or more guests, please contact us prior to making a booking so that we can be certain of accommodating you in the best area for the Covid restrictions to be in place.
Non admittance policy
The Greyhound Hotel reserves the right to decline any booking or guest admittance which would jeopardise the ambiance and well being of the business , guest comfort.
